Puriri
$500.00 – $800.00
Honouring the majestic Puriri (Vitex lucens), a mighty northern tree whose dense heartwood once supported New Zealand’s wharves. This design captures the tree’s vibrant pink flowers that entice native birds, particularly Tui and Kereru, symbolising endurance and ecological importance in our ancient native forests.
This Puriri Flower Ring began as Wallace’s delicate botanical drawing, transferred to sterling silver sheet almost 50 years ago. Today, these original designs are handcrafted and cast in sterling silver and 9k gold in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Each piece receives meticulous individual attention—fine details re-engraved by hand, then oxidized and polished to create a distinctive graphic finish. This wearable treasure connects generations to the wild beauty of New Zealand.
This ring is handcrafted to order and takes 2 to 5 weeks to ship. Please click ‘Place Order’ to request your piece.
Sizes of our handmade rings may vary. Use the ring sizing chart below to work out the correct size.
We recommend visiting a professional jeweller to have your ring finger measured for the most accurate fit. If that’s not possible, here are some methods for measuring:
Method 1: Measure a ring
- Find a ring that fits comfortably on the intended finger.
- Measure the internal diameter (mm) of the ring, using a ruler or measuring tape.
- Find your size using our size chart below.
Method 2: Measure your finger
- Cut a piece string to a length of 10cm.
- Wrap the string comfortably around your finger where the ring should sit – this should not be pulled tight.
- Use a pen to mark the overlapping parts of the string.
- Lay the string out flat and measure the string between the two marked points (mm).
- Find your size using our size chart below.
Measuring Tips
- Measure twice for accuracy.
- Measure in the afternoon when your hands are warmer for a better fit.
- Measure the finger you’ll wear the ring on, as sizes may differ between hands.
- If your hands swell, consider sizing up.
